Welcome To Taipei

1. National Palace Museum

You can experience to see the largest collection of the Chinese Imperial artifacts and artworks, including ceramics, bronzes, jade, sculptures and calligraphy, in Taipei Taiwan. Visiting the National Palace Museum is like travelling to the ancient China from the Neolithic age (ca.6200-1600 B.C.E) all the way to Qing dynasty (618-907 C.E). The collection of about 690,000 ancient Chinese artifacts and artwork is the one of the top 5 museums in the world. The Jadeite Cabbage with insects is the most popular item in the museum, which need a bit of passion to wait your turn to see the
artwork.

2. Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall Park

Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a national monument built to co-memorate the greater leader of the Repubic of China, Chiang Kai-shek.He passes away on 5 April 1975. After his fifth year of death anniversary(5 April 1980), the CKS Memorial Hall was officially completed and the public was allowed to give respect to the leader in this Hall. Othe than a spacious square and park outside the memorial hall, you can visit the main hall that consists of heritage displays rooms, gallery, and an auditorium. The most memorial experience of mine is seeing the changing of the guards in the front of the  
  statue of Chiang Kai-shek.

3. Danshui

Danshui is a small town to the north of Taipei that was the center of shipping and commerce in northern Taiwan in the 19th century.The city is popular with visitors from Taipei and boasts many historical attraction, and is a popular location for viewing sunset.
Located along the Danshui River, the Danshui pedestrian shopping area offers tourists a wide selection od restaurants, arcades, and stored specializing in traditional handicrafts.



The Love Bridge is the landmark of Tamsui
Fisherman's wharf. If you cross the bridge, you will see the Love Bridge with rainbow colour and magnificient views of the harbor and private yachts in the bay.

4. Taipei 101



Taipei 101 considered as the world's tallest building from 2004 to 2010, Taipei 101 is definitely a must-see site in Taiwan.It is composed of 101 floors above ground and 5floors underground. The building lools like a bamboo stalk, a symbol of traditional Chinese values. For NTD 500, tourists can go to the 89th to 91st floor to get a 360-degree view of Taipei. A shopping mall is also located at the building's
basement.

5. Mao Kong Gondola


 ao Kong (Cat Sky) highlands is known for producing good Taiwanise tea. There are tens of cafeterias dotted on the roads on the mountainside and Mao Kong is a very popular spot among young Taipei people. There have many cafeteria and stall which sell Chinese tea and foods such as some sweets , nuts, dried plums, pumpkin seeds and others. Since the cafeterias are on the mountainside, from there you could enjoy a nice view of the mountainside and the city of Taipei. Especially the night view of Taipei will be wonderful. In order to reach Mao Kong Highlands you can rides go to uphill found beside Taipei zoo .

6. A Hot Spring in Beitou

The Beitou hot springs are easily reached from central Taipei by the very efficient metro. Take a train to Beitou, change trains for a shuttle to Xinbeitou.
    First visit the Hot Springs Museum in the old Japanese Bathhouse (free, with complimentary slippers), with tatami rooms upstairs and the old bathhouse (like a roman bath) downstairs. The old house is surrounded by gardens and overlooked by the modern Beitou library. 
     It is a pleasant walk uphill along the hot
stream, under shady trees and terraces, across bridges  which cross and recross the
    waters which once supplied the bathhouse towards ' Hell Valley', a geothermal are which appeared to be closed on our visit.

7. Yang Ming Shan National Park



National Park 

Yang Ming Shan National Park is locate at the north of Taipei city and very accessible by public transportation. Some mountains in the park were ancient volcanoes. Today many volcanic features can be still seen there. Hot springs are also abundant in the park. Trekking in also very popular there.

There you will come across a flower clock which is a park landmark, broadcasts beautiful music every 30 mins. You will see and notice that the park has surounded with colourful beautiful flowers, trees, shrubs and even cherry, plum, camellia and other beautiful flowers. Around feb or mac, you can go there to view the Sakura and Bamboo lake .

8. The Red House

Red House Ximen 

The Red House is one of the landmark buildings of Taipei. It was first built in 1908 as a public market to local communities. The building was designed by a Japanese western-styled architect, Kondo Juro. The main entrance of the Red House has octagonal shape building like an eight trigrams (Bagua) and remaining structures are in cruciform shape.

Art & Craft Shop

Today, the Red House is a historical and art center in the famous pedestrian shopping district of Ximending. It consists of art galleries, art and crafts shops, boutiques, a museum, tea houses or cafes, and a theater.

9. Sanxia Old Street


Old Street 

The Sanxia Old Street (also called Minquan Street) is considered to be one of the longest and most beautiful old streets it Taiwan. Just to give you some explanation, the term "old street" is used for a place (street, or just a section) with interesting and well preserved culture and architecture.

Each building is a shop or a restaurant in fact. The restaurants offer a large variety of traditional food and drinks, and the shops sell everything from ceramics and art to clothing, beauty products, and souvenirs. There is also a lot to see about the Hakka culture, as the shops sell items such as clothes and accessories made from the Hakka floral fabric, blue dyed clothing, and Hakka food.

Sanxia River

Zushi Temple

There are museums, galleries, and three temples, among which the one called Zushi Temple is very famous. A bicycle route passes through Sanxia, and it is an easy ride from the city center. Other sites in this location are the Sanxia River and the Changfu Bridge. Walking over the bridge, you can enjoy the view over the Sanxia Hills.
